Well, BEFORE going to Wijk Aan Zee, we went 5 days to Paris, too. I was very happy because I thought it'd be great fun. Well eh, it wasn't. That stupid French language ruined my holiday >> I didn't understand a word. Sorry for those who speak French, but since I don't I kinda hate it ;;
Okay what we did in Paris:
Sunday: Well, we got up early and went to Paris where we arrived around one or two o'clock. We took the train to the centre of Paris (Châtelet Les Halles) and decided to go to the Eiffel Tower. Soon after that we found out that we would have to cross half of Paris to get there, and my parents decided to that.. WALKING. Well, saw half of the Seine and nice bridges, but since the sun was burning it was not very nice. We FINALLY reached the Eiffel Tower and when we got there, we just got to the 2nd floor, A) because I found the top floor too high and B) because you'd have to wait 30 minutes for the lift to take you up. We were starving and ate something at the buffet, and ate our final meal in the hotel. It was not too good, but oh well.
Monday: We had this hop on hop off bus and saw like the most attractive points of Paris. After that we got off the bus at Auber and did some shopping ^^ I ended up with very tired legs and a red nose, since the sun burned it :/ In the evening we went to Disney Village (which is free) and I bought this very cute Dumbo globe. Ah, I love elephants.
Tuesday: We got the to hop on hop off bus again and got out at Notre Dame. We listened to the choir and took the subway to the Champs Elysee (or something). Took pictures of the Arc De Triomphe and looked in some shops, ate something and we were on our way again to de Sacre Coeur. After we saw it we went to this market close by where all kinds off people were busy with drawing and painting, and selling their works. Everyone asked of they could draw you, but we didn't. And again a long day of walking.
Wednesday: This was a very irritating day. We went to museum Marmottan (with works from Monet). Well, we planned to go, but actually getting there was different. We got there after THREE HOURS walking, because people kept sending us the wrong way. SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH! My legs hurted enough already! Once we got there we found out there hardly was any work there! T_T That wasn't nice. We ended up at Auber again..
Thursday: And we went home. Finally. My legs were broken and so was I. I was sooooo happy to be home again!
We were three days home, because Monday, we LEFT again. I thought: we're going to the beach, so that'll be relaxing and stuff. But nooooooo... the weather was bad so we went out shopping again! Which caused.. A LOT OF WALKING.
Monday we went to Wijk Aan Zee *which really seems to be in the middle of nowhere, one proper shop that isn't even open every day and a supermarket* and Beverwijk, Tuesday we went to Haarlem and Zandvoort, Wednesday to Alkmaar, Egmond Aan Zee en IJmuiden.
If that wasn't enough, that decided to take a walk at the beach and I had to come with him!
Since I'm not used to walk a lot, you can probably tell how my legs feel now.
Things were not too bad after all. I've got the first series of Cardcaptor Sakura now complete *and I'm a CCS freak now, so beware! >D*, drew a lot of CCS *I said, BEWARE* and started in the new Harry Potter, but I didn't come farther than 1/3. T_T BAAAAAD me.
